Combined Therapy: An Effective Approach For Accelerated Recovery

My mission in opening Preferred Physical Therapy was to help people make better decisions about their health so they can have joy in their journey by avoiding a reliance on pills, injections, and avoiding surgery.

To do this, I’ve been dedicated to learning the techniques and skills necessary as a physical therapist to give my patients their best chance at this result.

Through this pursuit, I’ve found new developments in devices that provide significant help to achieve my patient’s goal to stay active and have joy without reliance on pills, injections, or surgery. I want to introduce an exciting approach that could make a significant difference in your injury recovery by combining different therapies.

As a reminder, here is a list of the individual therapies we offer.

Physical Therapy (PT):

We all know that PT is the cornerstone of healing from musculoskeletal injuries. But what’s happening under the surface? Your physical therapist designs a personalized exercise program to strengthen weakened muscles, improve flexibility, and increase joint mobility. It’s about optimizing your body’s physical abilities.

PEMF Therapy (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) and EMTT (Extracorporeal Magetotransduction Therapy):

Here’s where things get interesting. PEMF therapy operates at the cellular level. It uses electromagnetic fields to stimulate cells. Imagine your cells as tiny power plants. PEMF gives them a boost, like adding extra coal to the furnace. The result? Enhanced cell function, improved circulation, and reduced inflammation.

All of this means faster tissue repair.  We offer this technology in 2 ways.  One device is lower intensity and total body designed for wellness. Another (EMTT) is designed for local application and injury recovery. The EMTT device is nearly 40 times more powerful than our PEMF device.

EPAT Radial Shockwave Therapy:

Now, let’s dive deeper. Shockwave therapy uses acoustic waves that penetrate deep into tissues. It’s like a focused shockwave that triggers a repair response in the injured area. This means the tissues, particularly tendons and ligaments, start to regenerate. By using this alongside PT, you’re turbocharging the recovery process.

Red Light Therapy and Near Infrared Light (NIR):

Finally, let’s shed some light on the situation. Red light therapy and NIR (Near-Infrared) work by bathing your cells in red and near-infrared light wavelengths. It’s like a wake-up call for your cells to trigger them to produce more energy and more cycles of function. This light helps with tissue repair and collagen production. It’s also excellent at reducing pain and inflammation.

Why Combine Them?

Each of these therapies works at a different tissue level – from the cellular boost of PEMF to the focused application of shockwave therapy. When combined, they create a synergy of healthier cells and improved blood flow. It’s like having a well-orchestrated team working together to accelerate your recovery.

#1. Enhanced Pain Relief:

With the combination of these therapies, pain relief is optimized, making it easier to engage in your PT exercises and activities.

#2. Faster Healing:

The synergy of these therapies means a speedier recovery, helping you get back to your normal activities sooner.

#3. Improved Tissue Health:

Working together, these therapies promote optimal tissue health, which is vital for musculoskeletal recovery.

#4. Personalized Treatment:

Your treatment is designed around your specific injury and recovery needs, ensuring a tailored approach.

#5. Non-Invasive and Drug-Free:

These therapies are non-invasive and drug-free, minimizing potential side effects and risks.

When these therapies are strategically integrated into your treatment plan, they enhance each other’s benefits and ultimately maximize your chances of successful recovery. If you’re interested in exploring this combined approach or learning more about it, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to support you on your journey to better health.
