Susan’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding to get physical therapy?
I had been struggling with my knee pain since the end of June, I went to 3 different orthopedic surgeons that said nothing could be done and finally the last one I went to referred me to physical therapy.

What was and how bad was your problem prior to physical therapy?
I ended up getting an MRI and found out I had a torn meniscus. I could not walk and I was using a walker for a while. I’d have good days and bad days but now it’s been much better.

What was your knee pain causing you to miss out on?
I was missing out on just doing daily activities like getting in and out of the car, getting in and out of the bathroom tub, etc.

Did you try anything else that didn’t work?
Yes I saw three orthopedic surgeons and they told me there was nothing they could do about it and that my arthritis would just tear up my meniscus again.

What did you know about physical therapy prior to coming to PPT?
I was very skeptical about the therapy and I doubted whether it could help me at all. But it’s proven that it has helped me.

What would you say to someone who was skeptical about physical therapy?
I would recommend that they give it a try. It’s always worth trying.

What did you enjoy most about coming here?
All of the employees are very helpful, kind, considerate and friendly.

What was your goal and did our team help you to achieve it?
I wanted to be able to walk again and do my daily normal activities and yes you guys have helped me do that.
