Rebecca’s Story
How long did you wait before seeking a physical therapist?
Probably about six months, at least.
What was the obstacle in coming to a physical therapist?
Just my own personal ‘I figure it’ll just go away’.
What was your problem and how bad was it prior to physical therapy?
My arm and shoulder area were just really painful. I wasn’t sleeping well at night and it really limited my movement in my prominent arm.
What was your foot pain causing you to miss out on?
Every day life.
Did you try anything else that didn’t help?
I did try some Ibuprofen and that didn’t work. I also went and saw a doctor at CORE and he just assured me it wasn’t arthritis. And then I decided to try physical therapy.
Did you have an understanding of what physical therapy could do for you before coming to see us?
I knew that it may no resolve the issue entirely, but that I should be able to get some range of motion back and maybe less pain.
What would you say to someone who was experiencing arm pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
Oh absolutely do it. It’s worth it. Just come talk to the people here, they might be able to give you some reassurance.
What did you enjoy the most about coming to Preferred PT?
The comradery, the fun and the joking around.
What was your goal and did our team help you to achieve it?
Being able to do normal things like put a sports bra on and putting a seatbelt on. And yes, I have achieved that- better than I thought I would actually.
