Mike’s Story
How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?
My back is arthritic and it’s old, so it’s worn. I never thought physical therapy could do a darn thing for it. There was a doctor that told me, he didn’t want to operate or give me any shots. He said he’d like to talk me into physical therapy. It started off for probably a couple of months. It started progressing to where I really couldn’t do anything.
What was and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?
If you could have felt the everyday pain I was going through to try to do anything – that’s a goal right there, just to get rid of that pain. That, to me, was my goal because with that, then everything else is possible.
What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
The therapy actually works, obviously. It’s a great place to come into. I’m glad I did. If I ever need to, I’ll come back here.
Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
It’s well structured. The people here are amazing. It’s hard to imagine this many people in one business that are so happy, so polite, know what they’re doing and care. Everyone says hello and goodbye. It’s a great place.
What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
My god, I never thought I’d be this way – I feel great! I don’t have any pain. I can do everything I could do before, no operation, no shots, just physical therapy. That’s a lot, that’s impressive!
