Mary Martha’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?
It was 3 – 4 months that I was slowly going downhill. I thought the pain would go away on its own.

What was and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?
[My hip] was giving me this agonizing, dull pain from my hip, down my leg.

What was your pain preventing you from doing?
I was having difficulty getting into the driver’s side of the car and I could no longer walk up hills.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
I would say try it. You can’t lose anything by trying it. You might be pleasantly surprised by what it can do for you.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
I was pleasantly surprised to find that you did dry needle and also cupping, which really did tremendous help. I enjoyed the friendliness, the caring, the people really were interested in what was wrong with you.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
I wanted to get back to my routine of walking. And I have, this past week, been walking up the hills and running down them.
