Margaret M’s Story
How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?
It was probably around two years because I thought it was just a part of getting old.
What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?
I was experiencing a lot of pain in my lower hip and the upper thigh of my leg. It was very disruptive because I could not stand and do anything for long. Once it started hurting I had to go sit down and then continue with my activity and so forth.
What was your pain preventing you from doing?
I wasn’t able to walk my dogs and I was slow getting up in the morning to do daily activities. I had to lean on shopping carts to go shopping.
What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
There is nothing to be nervous about. Everything is explained step by step.
Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
I enjoyed how friendly and helpful everyone is. If I needed to stop or get the water it was no problem. It helped to have someone explain step by step what to do and without that, it would be very difficult.
What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
I just wanted to get back to everything I used to do. I am now able to get my dogs out and go for a walk.
