Jim’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?

I waited about 2 weeks thinking I could fix it myself. It was severe vertigo, it pretty much brought my life to a halt. I was missing out on a fair amount of activities. It stopped me from golfing, lawn bowling, bicycling, and just everyday walking.

What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

It was so severe I couldn’t walk. Just getting out of bed I would get nauseated.
After about 2 weeks I finally realized I couldn’t solve it myself and came in.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

I would suggest that they really need to try it. It makes life so much easier and so much better.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed all the people and physical therapists. They all seem to be excellent and consult with one another to determine the best path for me and get rid of vertigo.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?

I wanted to be able to achieve the things that I like to do. Now I am able to do all of them. My vertigo is completely gone for now but if it does return believe me I will return.

What to Watch Out For:

Pain scale: 0/10
