Janette’s Story

How long did you wait before coming to physical therapy?
I had been going to my foot doctor for at least 6 months, and he was the one who had the idea of trying physical therapy to see if it would work.

What was going on with your foot and how bad did it get prior to coming to physical therapy?
Right heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis and my pain level was around an 8 or 9 out of ten before I came.

What was your foot pain causing you to miss out on?
I’m pretty active so I was just pushing through the pain.

Did you try anything else that didn’t work?
I was taking a lot of Tylenol and Advil to try and alleviate the pain.

Did you have an understanding of what physical therapy could do for you before coming to PPT?
I had physical therapy on my neck before and it worked very well, so I knew that this might work. But it was strange because it was my foot! I didn’t think it would work on my foot… but it did!

What would you say to someone who was skeptical about getting physical therapy?
I would recommend to go and not to hesitate.

What did you enjoy the most about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy?
The people are great here, they are awesome. They have a wonderful staff and they care. They’re the best.

What was your goal, and did the team at Preferred Physical Therapy help you to achieve it?
The number one thing was trying to decrease the pain. My pain level this past week was at like a 1 or 2 and my fitness level has increased so I can do what I love to do. And that’s what it’s all about. Getting out there and having fun.
