Jack’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?

All together I probably tried to tough it out for a period of months but soon realized I wasn’t getting the results I wanted.

What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

It was terribly disruptive. I’ve been active all my life and after my back surgery, I noticed a downfall in how active I wanted to be, particularly outside activities like biking and golfing.

What was your pain preventing you from doing?

Yes, there is no question about that. You get used to that lifestyle and routine and then you notice you’re unable to perform at the level you’re used to and that’s disappointing.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I found the approach here to be very reassuring and comforting. They ask a lot of questions before they give you a routine.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?

Besides the relief after a few sessions, I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and professional. The entire experience was good for me.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?

I am back doing probably 90-95% of the things I used to do. When I came in here I was way less than that. It’s through the exercises that I learned here that kinda help me and alleviate a lot of the pain that I would experience.

What to Watch Out For:

Pain scale: 7/10
Pain description: Burning, ache down the leg and into the back/hip
Worse with:
  • Walking
  • Golf

  • Bending Over
