Gene N’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?

I was diagnosed with chronic lower back pain and neuropathy in my feet and legs over ten years ago.

What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

For chronic pain sometimes it was a nine to ten in pain and with that, it’s hard to walk or get out of bed or function in general.

What was your pain preventing you from doing?

It was preventing me from hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

I think a lot of people are nervous that it is going to be painful. It may be a little uncomfortable and painful but the therapists will cater to your pain and needs when coming up with a regimen.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed the care and concern and family environment from everyone. They all know you and your case and treat you the same.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?

I wanted to achieve more mobility and flexibility back and to be able to manage the pain where I do not need to rely on pain pills.
