Don’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?

My hip waited for 2 and a half years before I had surgery.

What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

It wasn’t stopping me from doing much but it was bothersome enough that I had to get surgery eventually.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

If you don’t get physical therapy after surgery as I had it will affect your life. It will affect the way you move for the rest of your life. If you don’t get yourself moving you’ll become stiffer and not be able to move at all.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?

I enjoyed the sense of humor and they were very professional and thorough.

What did you want to achieve with your treatment, and did we help you achieve it?

I wanted to get back to how I was before I was injured. I have a lot of surgeries done too but I still do everything I want to do.

What to Watch Out For:

Pain description: Tenderness that is constant
