Mary E’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?

I waited several years. I tried a chiropractor and massage therapy. I finally went to an arthritic doctor and he said I should try physical therapy.

What was it and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

I couldn’t stand for a long time or sleep on my left shoulder. I had bad back and hip aches. I used painkillers for a while but eventually, they stopped working for me.

What was your pain preventing you from doing?

It was preventing me from being comfortable from day to day and being able to get good rest.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

Just go do it. It’s great.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
The people. Everyone is friendly and nice and I feel better.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?

I just wanted to have less pain even though I do have arthritis. I can stand longer and do more without pain. I just feel good.
