Mark’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding on physical therapy and what was the obstacle?
I pulled or tore a calf muscle and really didn’t think too much of it because it wasn’t hurting that bad. After a few days, though, it really started to hurt and it was clear something was wrong.

What was and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?
I was diagnosed with something called compartment syndrome. I was rushed into emergency surgery and the doctor told me that I was thirty minutes away from losing, at minimum, my foot. Then, about four weeks, a month later, I landed here (PPT).

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
What I liked about Preferred was that I saw four different people. So you had four different opinions. Each one had their own way of doing things.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
The staff was awesome. I just kept rotating between through Nick and Colton and Alyssa and Jessica. Kendyl and Lexie kept me on track with my exercises. You feel like you’re part of something. That’s the difference between other physical therapy that I’ve been through.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
My goal was, I want to play competitive tennis again. So… I’m back on the tennis courts again and rocking it!
