Jordan’s Story

What was and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?

My left ACL was repaired. I couldn’t really lift my leg. I couldn’t bend my leg, at all. The pain was pretty bad.

What was your pain preventing you from doing?

I wasn’t able to move around at all. I couldn’t bend my leg enough to put shoes on, stuff like that.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?

I think physical therapy is important in terms of getting things [healed] correctly.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?

I’d say the thing I like the most is the amount of care that’s given.  It never feels like I’m trying to be rushed out. It’s more about making sure I’m doing things correctly and giving the time to ensure that everything is going correctly, rather than just getting people through the exercises and pushing people through.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?

I’m definitely ahead of where I thought I was going to be. I definitely didn’t think my knee would feel as good as it does.

What to Watch Out For:

Pain scale: 2-3/10
Pain description: Sharp pain with bending too far
Worse with:
  • Standing on it more than an hour
  • Bending too far
Better with:
  • Ice and rest
