Carrie’s Story

How long did you wait before deciding to come to physical therapy? What was the obstacle?
A couple of weeks. It was just a workman’s compensation issue. I had to wait for authorization before I could come.

What was and how bad was your problem prior to coming to PPT?
I had injured my shoulder because my job includes moving and lifting boxes. On a scale of one to ten, it felt like an eight.

What was your shoulder pain causing you to miss out on?
I was missing out on bowling.

Did you try anything else that didn’t work?
Of course they gave me medications but I knew that those were short term and I needed something long term to help me.

Did you have prior experience with physical therapy?
Yes, I had physical therapy before and I knew it would be beneficial for me.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but hesitant on coming to physical therapy?
I would say that it’s an excellent way to alleviate the pain and that they should at least give it a try.

Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to PPT, what did you enjoy the most?
Definitely the staff here. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

What was your goal and did we help you to achieve it?
I wanted to alleviate the discomfort in my shoulder and all the areas connected to my shoulder and to get back to bowling. I believe that the clinic has helped me to do this.
