President and Owner of Preferred Physical Therapy

Nick is a Physical Therapist who grew up in Glendale, Arizona. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He then went on to attend the University of Utah in Salt Lake City where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy.

While in school, Nick was able to work in a hearing and balance center, pain management clinic, and several orthopedic clinics. In 2010, Nick moved back to the Phoenix area to begin his physical therapy career. After just 2 years in practice, Nick was promoted to partner physical therapist, managing a team of physical therapists and support staff. With this experience, he decided to continue his care for patients by starting his own clinic. Some of his special areas of interest include orthopedic rehab, vestibular impairments, and trigger point dry needling. He is particularly skilled with the spine, knee, and foot/ ankle areas.

In his spare time, Nick enjoys CrossFit training, cycling, triathlon training, jeeping, and spending time with his wife and four boys in the outdoors (by camping in the summer and snowboarding in the winter).

Owner and CFO

Jessika was born in Las Vegas, Nevada but now calls Arizona her home. She attended the Marriott School of Business Management at Brigham Young University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree.

A few years ago, Jessika returned to the workplace as a marketing representative for a dental office in the East Valley. She is now looking forward to bringing her experience to Preferred Physical Therapy and getting to know the patients that she serves.

In her spare time, Jessika enjoys staying active by running, CrossFit training, snowboarding and hiking. She loves spending him with her husband, Nick, and their four boys (... even if it includes being in a Jeep).

Physical Therapist

Hannah is a Physical Therapist who grew up right here in Peoria and is an Arizona native. She attended Grand Canyon University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Physical Therapy. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Midwestern University.

During her clinical rotations, Hannah had the opportunity to work under Nick Hunter (here at Preferred Physical Therapy) as a student. During her rotation, she had the chance to work with patients of all ages, from only a few months old, to patient’s celebrating a birthday in their 90’s. As much as she loved these experiences, she found herself being drawn towards an outpatient clinics where she is able to work with individuals motivated to return to their favorite activities, or even find ease with their daily routine.

In her spare time, Hannah loves spending time with her husband, Matt, old high school friends, and her family. She loves to do anything outdoors, play sports, watch movies and being able to catch up with loved ones.

PT, DPT, Physical Therapist

Kyle is a Physical Therapist who grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science. He then went on to attend Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy.

While in school, Kyle was able to work in several orthopedic clinics throughout the greater Phoenix area and in a skilled nursing facility in Utah.  Kyle graduated in June 2022 and decided to continue his career in Glendale, AZ at Preferred Physical Therapy. Kyle worked at Preferred Physical Therapy as a student in the spring of 2022 where he learned a great deal from the Physical Therapy Staff. Kyle has had the most experience with treating the low back, hips, and neck.

In his spare time, Kyle enjoys participating in CrossFit competitions, playing recreational sports with his friends including softball, volleyball, and basketball, finding new trails to hike in the area, and enjoying all of the restaurants that the greater Phoenix area has to offer.

Mallorie was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin and later on after school moved to the Twin Cities (Minnesota). She furthered her education in Bloomington MN and studied Business Management and Human Resource Management. Currently, she works remotely out of the MidWest and appreciates hearing all the stories of the much nicer weather that Arizona has.

She loves the values that Preferred Physical Therapy holds and appreciates how deeply every single staff member cares about helping people heal. It feels great to see people so satisfied with their health and what they are able to achieve, and how we can help them reach all their goals.

In her free time, Mallorie loves spending time outdoors, being with family, and taking care of her (not so little) Bulldog puppy.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Colton is a Certified Physical Therapist’s Assistant who grew up in Vancouver, Washington. He studied at Central Washington University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He then relocated to Arizona where he received his Physical Therapist Assistant Certificate at Brookline College.

Colton has always been driven to help people. He started at Preferred Physical Therapy as a Patient Care Specialist in 2016. In fact, PPT’s mission To help people make better decisions about their health that allows them to find joy in their journey is what originally appealed to him. He’s excited to join the PPT team, as a Physical Therapy Assistant, because “I love the environment, drive, and focus that the team has to better the profession of Physical Therapy by taking care of patients as if they were family.”

In his spare time, Colton enjoys spending time in his pool, going to the gym, playing basketball, playing video games, and spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their dog, Roxy.

Julia is a native to the Valley of the Sun and loves the summertime. She spent the first two decades of her career in Senior Healthcare Sales and Marketing and was blessed to come across Preferred Physical Therapy at a time in her life when her family needed her presence more than ever.

Dana grew up in Peoria, Arizona and has been with the company since its inception. She is passionate about organization, design, and leaving things better than she found them.

Dana attended ACU for interior design when she met her husband and has been married for fourteen years. Dana is a mother of five great kids, four boys and one girl. Dana has always been drawn to customer service, eager to improve the experience of those around her.

Spare time is hard to come by, but Dana enjoys attending sporting events for her kids, decorating interior spaces, and digital design.
