Mary’s Story
What was and how bad was your problem prior to receiving physical therapy?
I fractured my hip and after two and a half months, I felt I was strong enough to do Physical Therapy.
What was your pain preventing you from doing?
I was not able to dress myself because I had lost strength on one side.
What would you say to someone who was experiencing pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
It’s easier than what you imagine. I think physical therapy, just the word itself, might be intimidating, especially when you come in after a break. Physical therapy is like exercise… it takes time to become effective. I would definitely recommend physical therapy
Out of all the things that you enjoyed about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy, what did you enjoy the most?
Here I worked with everybody, which I thought gave me good variety in how they approached my particular situation and a different set of eyes. It’s kind of like you have several sets of eyes looking at what your issue is and giving you feedback , versus one.
What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
Now through the exercises and the therapy, I’ve been able to get the strength back. I’m at the point where I can go back to normal activity.
