Sam’s Story

How long did you wait before seeking a physical therapist?
Probably about a week. I was going to a chiropractor and my coach had asked me if it was helping and it wasn’t. She recommended that I come here, so we made an appointment the next day.

What was going on with your back and how bad did it get prior to coming to physical therapy?
My lower back kept clenching up and it was very hard to walk. I wasn’t able to sleep wither.

What was your back pain causing you to miss out on?
I was missing a lot of gym practice. I compete and I have practice pretty much every day, every week. Every time I went I just wanted to sit and not do anything because I was in so much pain. It really held me back.

Did you try anything else that didn’t help?
Yes, I went to a chiropractor. I also tried icing, heating and some stretches that my coach taught me. It kind of helped but we did a more intense stretch here that helped a lot more.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing arm pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
To absolutely come here. I’d probably recommend you guys to everyone even if they weren’t in pain because it’s so great here. Everyone’s really nice.

What did you enjoy the most about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy?
Probably all of the company. Everyone was super friendly, especially Nick. He was really nice. Everybody treated us like we’ve known everybody for years.

What was your goal and did our team help you to achieve it?
I wanted to get back to being able to sleep well and wake up without being sore and in pain. I wanted to be able to work out again and now I can. I can even bend down and touch my toes and I couldn’t do that before. My flexibility is back and I’m feeling a lot better. Today’s my last day and I’m pretty sad I don’t get to come back.
