Ken’s Story

What was and how bad was your problem before coming in to see us?
This back pain that I was having was so bad that I couldn’t even sleep at night. I knew that I needed help and I didn’t want to start taking a bunch of pills.

How long did you wait before deciding to get physical therapy?
As soon as I realized that I wasn’t going to be able to figure it out for myself.

Did you try anything else that didn’t work?
Oh I took some pain pills, just over the counter stuff. That’s the one thing that I try to stay away from. It would work for a little bit but during the night it would wear off and wake me up.

What did you enjoy the most about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy?
The people and the professionalism. Everybody seems polite, friendly and nice. This environment here is very encouraging and easy to fit in to.

What would you say to anyone suffering from back pain but hesitant on getting physical therapy?
To give it a chance because I came in sort of skeptical as well. I hadn’t been successful with several other places. Nick’s exercises and stretches seemed to do the trick so it was surprising to me as well.

What were you wanting to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
The number one thing was to reduce my back pain and I believe it was successful. I don’t have back pain right now.

Pain scale: 10/10
Pain description: Sharp pain with some stiffness
Worse with:
  • Laying down
