Carolyn’s Story

How long did you wait before making the decision to come to physical therapy?
It was pretty quick because I had been here before about a year ago. Right away I got my doctor to write me a referral for physical therapy.

What was your problem and how bad was it prior to physical therapy?
I had low back pain due to three bulging discs. It was so debilitating that I couldn’t even stand up straight.

What was your back pain causing you to miss out on?
I couldn’t go to work or to the grocery store because I couldn’t lift grocery bags. Actually, no activity whatsoever. The first four days I was laying flat on my back in bed.

What would you say to someone who was experiencing back pain but skeptical about physical therapy?
You need to go. The combination of exercise and massage made my back feel great.

What did you enjoy the most about coming to Preferred Physical Therapy?
Interacting with the people and knowing that I was going to get better. The absolute best part was the hands on treatment.

What did you want to achieve and did we help you to achieve it?
I wanted to get back to my normal activities. Now I can go to the grocery store, carry bags of groceries and I can go to work and actually do my work. Now I am going to get ready and start golfing!
